Event: 25.09.2016

Lily is your typical girly girl. Her favourite colour is pink, her favourite ice cream flavour is pink, she loves Disney and Barbies and in general her outfit of choice are tutus and maxi dresses (I think they remind her of long flowy princess gowns, but for whatever reason she loves them and they make her look so cute).

It so happened that the birth of baby number two (Taylor) and Lily’s birthday was quite close together and being in my third trimester, I was in no mood to plan two separate celebrations so I combined both together (genius!). The event became Taylor’s welcome home (we didn’t do a baby shower) and Lily’s 3rd birthday.

It recently drawn on me that the last night time I baked something for Easter was back in 2012 (pre-Lily days). Whilst I’m not baking this year (let’s face it I have no time for that!) – I’ve decided it’s time to put more effort into Easter. Lily loves Easter and helping me with crafty party prep so this year we are making bunny fruit cups (but you can fill these with anything you like) and Easter peanut butter egg nests. They are so easy – it will take you no time at all. And they look so so good! Time to get hopping!!

When your girlfriend asks you to help model her new swimwear range – how can you refuse?? Her swimwear line is called Aurein Swim and the range is superb! I’ve been wearing mine pretty much every week this summer to take my girls swimming and it’s the perfect swimwear for poolside modesty, whilst also looking very stylish. Made from quality Italian UPF 50+ (ultraviolet protection factor) fabric, it also holds and contours you in in all the right places. Basically it’s a win-win for all women-kind and I haven’t even mentioned the best part, these ultra flattering swimsuits come with their own mini-me version- for the girls! The style I’ve chosen is called Diana and it comes with a separate top and bottom, the girls’ version is similar in one piece but features the same thicker straps and side ruching with bows – just like the mummy version.

The PARTY DETAILS
I love the idea of a construction party, but being a mum of girls I wouldn’t have a clue what the difference is between a excavator, a loader, a bulldozer or a crane. Ask me any of the Disney princesses’ names and the theme song and I could probably tell you. So when my girlfriend said she was going to throw her son a construction themed party, I offered my ‘help’ (I didn’t really do anything except make the construction ‘dig in’ fruit cups but I definitely helped eat everything).

Event: 5.10.2016

The PARTY DETAILS

It was recently Australia Day here and whilst traditionally we as a family don’t really do much to mark the occasion, my girlfriend graciously hosted a low key BBQ at her place.

I made a tropical fruit platter (since I’m not the best cook) and she made a very cute star-studded watermelon, blueberry, feta and cucumber salad. It turned out to be a super fun day for the kids (and adults) – but it made me feel that we had celebrated this event not too long ago and then it hit uh-huh! we did celebrate Australia Day recently, October of last year to be exact!

The Australiana theme was in honour of my nephew, Finn’s first birthday. Although it’s not the most obvious party theme for a little boy’s first birthday, it made perfect sense – my in-laws had lived in London for the first year of Finn’s life and they were coming home to celebrate the milestone.

EVENT DATE: 25 Aug 2013

The PARTY DETAILS

This is probably where it all began – my love for party styling. Technically I didn’t plan this event – my lovely friend Nicole (who is amazing at party planning) and my beautiful sister-in-law organised everything in the celebration of my soon-to-be new bundle of joy.

The theme – my favourite colour: yellow. We added elephants as who doesn’t love baby elephants?
